I have found photographic inspiration in the majestic beauty of trees for many years, so I was grateful to have the opportunity to work and photograph in Auwahi.
The tenacity of these museum trees withstanding for years the loss of their natural habitat was sad, yet inspiring.
Through the use of primitive cameras and the beauty of the Photogravure process, it was my intention to interpret the spirit and essence of these native trees.
